Are you a window opener or door knocker?
I guess many of you might be hearing these terms for the first time, or some might even be familiar with them. I actually came to know about the concept about a year ago through a podcast- and since then- I have consciously tried to be a door knocker instead of someone who just opens windows. It talked about how there are two types of people- window openers and door knockers.
In layman terms, a window opener is the kind of the person who needs to know what lies ahead of them before they open the window. Their decisions are solely based on whether they are able to see what they are getting themselves into. Being an introvert and someone who really likes to plan and organize most of the things, I have been a window opener most times than not. I would only make decisions and do something adventurous if I could see the outcome through the glass. Certainty of things were driving me to open the window and take a step through. There are advantages to this, but more so recently I have realized that there are a lot of downfalls when you look at things through the eyes of a window opener.
